About ThamesFurs
ThamesFurs was created in 2024 to offer an alternative option to existing local furmeets, with the idea of providing a differnet vibe to the other offerings.
We decided to go with a "roaming" furmeet model, allowing us to change the venue we're at on each occasion. This gives us the chance to offer experiences you get less commonly at other furmeets.
Our first meet back in 2024 started as a bowling meet with a group of friends. Since then, we now have over 200 members, and have hosted a range of meets, from things like cinema trips and picnics, to mini golf and trips to the London Zoo.
ThamesFurs is still very much in the "Small Gathering" category, which means the vibe is much more relaxed, and usually a bunch quieter than some of the bigger meets. This makes it ideal if you're not too keen on a loud / busy fixed venue that a lot of other furmeets offer.
We're a small team of volunteers, arranging this meet casually in our spare time. This means we're less huge-frills, and more just a friendly, relaxed bunch. Think of ThamesFurs more of a hangout with a larger-than-usual group of friends!
As we're very much community driven, we're always open to feedback. Whether that is ideas for trips, any criticisms, or just general suggestions - we want to hear them all. You can submit feedback here.
ThamesFurs is operated by a diverse group of people, across a range of backgrounds, gender identities, sexualities and disabilities. We pride ourselves on being as inclusive as possible for our attendees. We want to make sure everyone feels comfortable attending a meet, no matter their diversities. That being said, if you are planning to attend a meet and have any specialist accessibility needs or concern, you are always welcome to reach out to discuss this.

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly.
Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground.
The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.
Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black.
Ooh, black and yellow!
Let's shake it up a little.

Ban Appeal
In very rare circumstances, we may find ourselves in a position where a ban is required. This may be an Event ban, or a Telegram Chat ban. Event bans can be temporary (for a set number of meets or time) or permanent. Telegram Chat bans are permanent, although you are still able to attend ThamesFurs events.
